Rev. Dr. Paul de Vries

Rev. Dr. Paul de Vries is the President of the New York Divinity School and has over 25 years of leadership experience in Christian higher education administration. His academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Virginia, specializing in applied ethics, critical thinking, and hermeneutics. Dr. de Vries has authored several books and has been a contributing author to many others, particularly in the areas of hermeneutics and applied ethics.

As a Special Advisor at the New York State Chaplain Task Force, Dr. de Vries provides invaluable guidance and expertise in the development of our training programs and ethical standards. His extensive experience in education and ministry enhances our organization's ability to deliver high-quality spiritual care and support.
