Announcing Clinical Pastoral Education Interactive Distance Learning

New York State Chaplain Task Force, in collaboration with the Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training (ICPT), is proud to announce our Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Interactive Distance Learning program for students across the United States and abroad. This unique faith-based educational experience is designed for those seeking personal and professional growth in pastoral and spiritual care, also known as chaplaincy. Our dynamic, process-oriented program fosters an environment where participants can openly share, support, challenge, and respect one another.

CPE offered by ICPT provides a supportive and stimulating learning environment. The faculty at NYSCTF and ICPT work diligently to create a space where students feel confident to risk interpersonal growth and learning through cutting-edge instruction. Clinical hours are supervised by NYSCTF and can be completed at your current place of ministry, offering flexibility and convenience.

The benefits of our CPE program are extensive. Participants can earn seminary or college credit, fulfill professional continuing education requirements, and meet clinical pastoral education requirements for certification as a professional chaplain or CPE supervisor. The program helps laypersons clarify vocational interests in ministry, improve their skills in providing spiritual care, and develop a stronger personal and pastoral identity. Additionally, qualified graduates have the opportunity to earn supplemental income working as staff chaplains, pool or contract chaplains with local organizations such as hospitals, hospices, and prisons. Join us in this transformative journey of faith and professional development.
